Design is a catalyst for change with a strong social dimension—structures and environments have lasting effects on the quality of life for millions of people. As our society becomes more interconnected, we require environments that are thoughtfully designed to reflect our global context.
Integrating a diversity of perspectives is essential to a design education, and the GSD is committed to explorations that ensure social agency and access. Such critical forays combine knowledge and global purpose to shape the work of the School every day, in ways both large and small.
